WE WILLNOT FORGET..
On September 11, 2001, the World Trade Center in New York City was attacked by terrorists, who finished the work attempted in 1993. They toppled 3 buildings, and damaged several others.
While we have had terrorist attacks on US soil before, this one really was brought home to me. I was born and raised in New York, 35 miles from the World Trade Center. I visited it, worked in it, and looked at it with pride as a symbol of my home. That was all stolen from me that day; and from all of us. I knew people who were lost in the World Trade Center, and as I write this one month later, it's still hard to look at some of the pictures.
I dedicate this page to those who were touched in any manner by this tragedy, and share with you here some of the images of the WTC, both in good times, and in bad.
NOTE: Due to the fact that this server was providing services to disaster communications volunteers in New York, I had removed the videos and pictures for a while. If you tried to get them, my apologies. The bandwidth demands were causing problems in reaching the server.

My pictures of the WTC:
The last photo I took of the Twin Towers before I moved from New York in February, 2001. I thought I was being silly taking this picture like some tourist.
I used to love bringing friends who were visiting New York for the first time to the WTC, covering their eyes, and leading them outside, next to the Twin Towers. There, eyes uncovered, they all did the same thing... Looked UP.
..And UP....
Rob and Peggy on top of 2WTC.

Peggy at one of the several viewscopes at the top.

A view of NYC from 2WTC, with 1WTC in the foreground. The Empire State Building, once and now again the tallest building in NYC, is in the distance.
The view of the Towers from the Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty Ferry.
Lower Manhattan, circa 2000.

Scan of the souvenir photo taken at the top of the WTC.

I can only imagine where the E train will end now.. But I am glad I got this shot of me at the WTC stop of the 1/9 train.
